Willpower limited or not?

Willpower: limited or not?

.

Willpower is the ability to resist short-term temptations to meet long-term goals.

.

Some people believe that willpower is a limited resource capable of being depleted. Resisting temptation is one of the key things that depletes willpower. People who use willpower seem to run out of it at some point in time.

.

On the other hand, some people say that willpower is trainable. Strengthening willpower is possible and we've been thinking about willpower and ego depletion the wrong way for 30 years.

.

These are the things that restore our willpower:

☑️glucose

☑️prayer

☑️meditation

☑️social connection

☑️sleep

☑️gratitude
